Auction Rules & Benefit Payment Information

 

Live & Silent Auction Rules:

Check-in for the benefit is at the welcome table from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Bid numbers will be sent out via email prior to the benefit and will be available at check-in as well.  You may give your credit card number at this time to pre-pay for any items purchased.

First Choice Raffle:

30 tickets available. A ticket will be drawn at random before the live auction the night of the event. Winner gets their choice of any live auction package. Must be present to win.

Silent Auction:

The silent auction will be open from 6:30-11 p.m.

All silent auction items have a corresponding bid sheet. To bid on an item, clearly write your bid number and bid amount on the sheet. Please begin bidding at the amount stated on the sheet and increase bids in an amount equal to or greater than the minimum raise listed.  Do not remove any bid sheet from the table while bidding is in progress.

After the silent auction closes at 11p.m., check the bid sheets to determine if you have won an auction item.

For all tangible items “won,” such as gift baskets and memorabilia, please see a silent auction volunteer prior to leaving to initial the winning bid sheet and record that you have received your prize. All physical items must be claimed and removed from Michigan Shores Club by the end of the evening.

Sign-Up Parties:

Please note that some silent auction items are parties for parents and students that have a sign-up sheet for the number of spaces available, instead of a bid sheet. Each party space will be sold separately on a first-come, first-served basis. Write your full name and bid number on the sign-up sheet. Must be present to register for any sign up parties.

Live Auction:

The live auction will be conducted during dinner.  Your paddle for bidding in the live auction will be at your assigned dinner table. All paddles will have the guests’ name and bid number on the back.

Your bid on any auction item – live or silent – is your commitment to purchase the item. All sales are final. There are no exchanges or refunds. Be sure to read the descriptions for any expiration dates or restrictions.

 

Benefit Invoice & Payment Procedures:

When you RSVP on the website you will be asked if you would like to save your credit card for purchases made the night of the event. If you choose that option that is the credit card that will be processed. If not, the credit card you provide at check in will be the credit card used.

Once your payment has been processed, you will receive a receipt along with an invoice via email, which outlines all of your benefit purchases, including dates and times of all sign-up parties you are attending, Donate-It-Now items purchased, and live and silent auction packages that were “won.”

You will then receive any live and silent packages (gift cards, certificates, etc.) via the cubby system.
