About the Benefit
The annual Trinity Church Nursery School benefit is our school’s most exciting night of the year! It is an opportunity to get dressed up, enjoy the company of Trinity parents, teachers and administrators, and support the school.
Similar to many private schools, tuition only covers part of Trinity’s budget. Did you know that on average, the gap between the cost of TCNS and what tuition covers is about $500 per child? Proceeds from the benefit are the main source of closing this gap and make possible enrichment activities such as music, science and yoga instruction, community aid, and teaching assistants.
This themed evening affair is planned by a team of passionate parent volunteers and includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, drinks and various opportunities to support TCNS -- including the First Choice Raffle, Live and Silent Auctions, Donate-It-Now Tables and the always popular Sign-Up Parties.
Opportunities to Support TCNS at the Benefit
Sign-Up Parties: Each year a handful of Trinity families and teachers plan and host themed parties during the months following the benefit. At the benefit, you can sign up to attend as many parties as you’d like. Each party has a set cost to attend and 100% of the funds raised go to Trinity. There are parties for couples, the entire family, moms, dads and there are parties for our kids hosted by the teachers! There are a limited number of spots available to attend each party, so the Sign-Up Party table is usually the first stop for many at the benefit. If a party is full and you would like to attend, please add your name to the waitlist.
Silent Auction: You’ll find a number of experiences, services and products you can bid on – and all items have been donated by TCNS families and local businesses, so it’s a great way to support our community while supporting Trinity. From sporting events to spa services, date nights to family outings – there’s something for everyone! At the end of the evening, the person with the highest bid for each item wins that package.
First Choice Raffle: For $100, you can purchase a First Choice Raffle ticket that gives you a chance to win a Silent Auction item of your choosing. A limited number of tickets will be sold, and with many high-value Silent Auction packages, this is a Raffle not to miss! You can purchase your First Choice Raffle ticket online before the event. If any tickets are remaining, you can purchase one when you arrive at the benefit.
Live Auction: After a delicious dinner, you’ll have the chance to bid on unique trips and experiences as our auctioneer presents our most exciting packages of the night. The live auction is always a fun and lively time! You can preview the live auction packages before the event.
Donate-It-Now: Trinity teachers have assembled a “wish list” of toys, games and other materials. At the Donate-It-Now table, you’ll be able to sign up to donate towards these items. The rickshaws and roller racers in the bike room, the magnatiles and light table in the KE room, and many other fun and educational items that our children have enjoyed this year were made possible through Donate-It-Now support at previous year’s benefits.
